The settlement of the writers strike means a lot of things to a lot of people. But to us at BuzzFlash.com, it means one really cool thing: we can post material from late-night shows now that they have union writers once again.

As you may know, BuzzFlash.com instituted a ban on posting content from the late-night shows where union writers were on strike. (David Letterman and Craig Ferguson came back with union writers.)

It was difficult to go without posting new material, especially from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. But there was a higher principle at stake, and standing by principles isn’t always easy. And we do appreciate your patience with us for doing what we did.

The other nice part about the settlement is that progressive authors will once be booked on those shows. They have disappeared from those shows and from our TV screens.

So beginning tonight, content from union writer-written shows will be available on BuzzFlash.com. But it still has to be funny, so don’t expect too much from Jay Leno.
